Our tipis or sail cloth marquees make the perfect backdrop for your special day, whatever the time of year. The differences between them and the benefits of one over the other are mainly aesthetic. Tipis are more enclosed which can feel more intimate and cosy. Sail cloth marquees open at the side allowing for that view of the countryside. It is England though, so transparent sides are there if the weather isn’t dry!
Tipis are a cosy and weatherproof setting for your wedding, offering the best of indoors and outdoors. The great thing about tipis is that they can be customised for any event size - by linking tipis, we can accommodate over 600 guests, but also create much more intimate celebrations too. Just the one tipi is perfect for small weddings. The sides can be lifted to create an open sheltered space. By doubling the amount to two, it allows room for a dance-off, a rustic bar area or a cosy lounge. The vibe of a tipi can be really relaxed, enhanced by rustic furniture, fire pits and woven flooring. The natural tan of the canvas and wooden pole structures means they blend seamlessly with any setting, which makes the Hertfordshire countryside a great location to hold your ceremony or reception / after party. All kinds of wedding themes are possible because you’re not limited to what is already there in a permanent venue. The canvas really is blank!
Stretch tents provide an excellent canopy solution for intimate gatherings or ceremonies. With extra space you have all kinds of different layout options available to you.
